Phil joined the Board in November 2024 having previously worked with Visibility Scotland as part of a Knowledge Transfer partnership with the University of Strathclyde.

He is a Medical Engineer with expertise in rehabilitation and an Emeritus Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Strathclyde.

Phil is passionate about ensuring Visibility Scotland develops accessible technology which enables users to live a happy and fulfilling life and gains commercial benefit from these innovations to help it support its service users.

He is now retired and likes to travel in his motorhome, play with his two dogs and swim.
