Meet Josh

Meet Josh, Visibility Scotland’s new Fundraising and Community Engagement Specialist. Josh joined Visibility Scotland after an opportunity arose regarding collaboration work- now here he is!

Josh’s day-to-day role sees him looking for ways to bring different sources of funding to Visibility Scotland. Initially he’ll be delivering some work Visibility Scotland has already received funding for – SAFE – which is a project aiming to affect behaviour change around how we best share our streetscape with others.

We asked Josh what made him want to work for a charity/third sector organisation and he replied “I have always worked either in the third sector or delivering projects for organisations where the funding came from charities.  My work in road safety is something I am hugely passionate about, and although my background is heavily in cycling, there are huge overlaps between the challenges faced by all vulnerable road users.  If we make our streets safer for the most vulnerable, they will be safer for everyone.”

Furthermore, Josh added his favourite aspect of working at Visibility Scotland is the staff and how welcoming everyone has been. He added “I took this job because of the lovely colleagues. “

Fun fact, Josh looks after a 42-year-old tortoise called Tortie, who brings him a huge amount of joy!
