Every year, the third Monday of January is nicknamed ‘Blue Monday’. The theory is that this day is particularly gloomy due to the long dark nights, the bleak weather and the financial hit of Christmas.
Here at Visibility Scotland, we want to banish the New Year blues by bringing the local community together for a hot cuppa and some friendly chat.
On January 17 2022, we will be holding our first ever pop-up café in Visibility Scotland’s headquarters at 2 Queen’s Crescent in Glasgow.
The past year has sadly brought isolation and loneliness for many of us. We want to start 2022 off the way we want to continue through the year: with friendly faces, positive chat and, of course, plenty of cake too!
More information on attending our ‘Blue Monday Café’ will be released shortly. In the meantime, we’re looking for two or three volunteers to join us who can make a great cup of tea and give a warm welcome to all of our visitors. If you would be interested in helping us beat isolation and turn Blue Monday around, please email info@nullvisibilityscotland.org.uk or call 0141 332 4632
We can’t wait to welcome you to Visibility Scotland’s headquarters in the New Year. Let’s come together as a community to transform ‘Blue Monday’ into a bright, colourful Monday! Our local MSP is also going to attend, so please come along and join us!
