Glasgow community events

Update: We’ve had quite a bit of interest in these events from people outside Glasgow so we’ve decided to open them up to anyone who is able to travel to attend. Our funding covers Glasgow so priority will be given to Glasgow residents, but if you live elsewhere and would like to attend please do get in touch. If there are spaces available we’d be delighted to have you join us!

Our Glasgow community team are busy planning their programme of events and activities for the rest of 2022 and the start of 2023.

If you live in the Glasgow city council area and fancy joining us for any of the activities listed below please get in touch to let us know. You can call us on 0141 332 4632 or email info@nullvisibilityscotland.org.uk

If we have enough people interested in the different activities we will arrange dates and times to suit.

Make

Miniature sensory garden

Join us to make a small grow pot using common herbs found in the garden or bought from the shops!

Crafting with clay

Get your hands in amongst the clay! We’ll show you how to make a small plant pot or you can let your imagination run wild!

Drop yer stitches

Join us as we knit squares to be added to a blanket. Both beginners and experienced knitters welcome.

Help

Christmas cards

Need help with writing your Christmas cards this year? We’ll provide lighting, writing guides, magnification and some festive cheer!

Christmas gifts

Need help with wrapping your Christmas gifts this year? We’ll provide lighting, help to cut the tape and some festive cheer!

Pick ‘n’ walk

Fancy a walk around one of our beautiful parks? Join us for a gentle stroll and help pick up any small litter along the way! We’ll be using hand grabbers and bags so no one will get mucky!

Together

Group lunch

Let’s meet up and spend a relaxing morning and afternoon together. We’ll make our own lunch in our accessible kitchen. If the weather is good, we’ll pop along to the Woodlands Community garden to enjoy the surroundings. If not, we have plenty of indoor activities for you to try your hand at, including tactile dominos and large print cards. There’ll also be plenty of time to chat and get to know each other.
