Occupational Therapist

Visibility Scotland is recruiting a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT). To apply for this exciting full-time post, you must be passionate, creative, inspiring and able to work under your own initiative.

 

The successful candidate will deliver our exciting EyeCan three-week self-management programme. The program teaches and promotes good posture, visual awareness, hand-eye coordination, visual strategies and safe movement within indoor spaces for people of all ages living with a visual impairment. It is delivered in collaboration with a team of dieticians, music specialists and a visual rehabilitation specialist in a community setting.

 

The OT provides a specialist service to adults and children with neurological visual impairment, delivering a new training program aimed at enhancing the outcomes for people with visual field loss post-stroke.

 

Finally, there is a lead role in writing litigation reports based on OT assessment of need.

 

This is an exciting, multi-faceted role with a motivated and ambitious organisation. You will have experience working as an OT in a health or social care setting. You will have knowledge of neurological visual impairment or have a keen desire to learn. You will be a skilled report writer and be confident in your assessment skills. Team spirit is a must.
