Our brand-new EyeCan podcast is now live

Visibility Scotland is delighted to announce the launch of our brand new EyeCan podcast, now available on all major podcast platforms! EyeCan explores life with blindness and vision impairment through honest conversations, real stories, and a touch of humour.

The podcast is hosted by our very own staff members Audrey and Lara, who both bring lived experience of vision impairment along with their warmth, curiosity, and top-notch banter. Together, they create a welcoming space for open and meaningful discussions that reflect the diversity of experiences within the community.

Our initial four episode series features BBC presenter and documentary maker Ian Hamilton, deafblind mountaineer and researcher Dr. Caroline Pakenaite, Paralympic gold medalist Melanie Barratt, and voice of Lidl Scotland self checkouts Alan Macdonald. Each guest brings their own unique perspective and experience to the table.

Through these conversations, EyeCan aims to challenge perceptions and celebrate what people living with vision impairment and blindness can achieve. The series highlights not only the challenges individuals may face, but also the humour, individuality, and strength that define their experiences.
