Upcoming workshops this week

This week, we have some exciting sessions for parents/ caregivers and people of working age living in Glasgow.

Parent Caregiver:

  • Do you have a child with a visual impairment?
  • Would you like to meet other parents/ caregivers?
  • Would you like support tailored to your needs? If so, please join our first online group meeting on Tuesday, 14 November.

Visibility Scotland has partnered with Freedom & Joy – a coaching, counselling and wellness company to offer support group sessions to parents of children with visual impairment.

Over the next six months, Freedom & Joy will run group counselling and coaching sessions for parents, allowing the group to share experiences from a supportive network of like-minded individuals and navigate any challenges together.

Each session will be facilitated by Freedom & Joy, with a member of the Visibility Scotland team providing additional advice and signposting as and when required.

Information session deatils

The programme will kick-off with an information and project overview session on 14 November at 8 pm. It will last for one hour.

The initial meeting will take place online, with time for questions afterwards. Aarti and Sharon from Freedom and Joy will go through the programme details, with Visibility Scotland’s CEO Laura Walker outlining the wider pilot programme to give context and detail the wider offering available.
