Our weekly self-led group enjoys crafting, making and growing together. The group meets between 10 AM to 12.30 PM at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.
Positive Outlook Course (held on Zoom)
A virtual Positive Outlook course delivered on Zoom. You can meet others new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over two consecutive Wednesdays. The session is run by our Training and Information Specialist. The session runs from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Attendees can be dialed into to the Zoom meeting via their mobile phones.

Sensory play room open
Visibility Scotland’s sensory play room is open for vision impaired and blind children aged zero to six every second Friday at Visibility Scotland, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW beginning on Friday 6th February 2026 from 10:30 AM onwards. Visiting the room is free of charge, though a small donation to our charity is always appreciated. It is a fun, welcoming space designed for children and families.
Space is limited, so please confirm your attendance no later than the Tuesday before each session by calling 0800 987 1087 or emailing families@nullvisibilityscotland.org.uk

Messy play – West Lothian
This session is for children aged five and under. The session will be delivered by our partners at Food Heroes who are two Specialist Dietitians. They will be ready to answer any queries about diet and health for your child. The session incorporates exploring food through play, to build positive relationships with food for children and families while learning and having fun together.

RNIB public speaking and self advocacy group
RNIB are partnering with Visibility Scotland to host monthly meetings for vision impaired people to improve their communication skills and public speaking confidence. The group provides a welcoming space for individuals to practice a prepared speech, learning from each other and building confidence in public speaking. Not only will attendees have the confidence to speak comfortably to a room of people, they will be able to clearly articulate themselves in all situations from asking for support to succeeding in interviews.
Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month from 12pm to 2pm at 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow. Full dates for the year are as follows:

Visibility Scotland has launched a sensory play room for VI and blind children aged zero to six years. The room will be open for sensory play every second Friday at Visibility Scotland, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW beginning on Friday 6th February 2026 from 10:30 AM onwards. Byres Road Community Hub (The Clarice Pears Building), 90 Byres Road, Glasgow G12 8TB. This is part of the University of Glasgow School of Health and Wellbeing Campus. This is situated just off Byres Road at University Place.
The entrance is a large, glass-fronted door facing Byres Road. This is a rotating glass door. There is an alternative entrance if you travel up University Place and turn right down a pedestrianised walkway. There are automatic doors here that take you into the building. Visibility Scotland staff will be on hand to welcome you to this venue.
Room 171 is where the community group can meet.
This is a meeting room on the ground floor. There are accessible toilets adjacent to this room.
How to get here:
The nearest subway stops are Hillhead and Kelvinhall, both under a minute walk away.
The nearest bus stops for the building are on Byres Road, University Avenue, Dumbarton Road, and Great Western Road.
A taxi rank is situated on Byres Road, at the entrance to Ashton Lane. The closest drop off/collection point to the building is University Place.
