Today, 7 June 2023, Visibility Scotland turns a sprightly 164 years young.
As incredible as it might seem, the charity began life way back in 1859. Back then we were known as ‘The Society for Promoting Reading among the Blind’. We’ve changed a lot since then and accomplished a lot. However, there is still much more we want to achieve, and we will keep working hard to ensure that Scotland is one of the best places in the world for visually impaired people to live.
Thank you to all our service users, volunteers, fundraisers, supporters and staff over the years for being part of our journey. Here’s the to the next 164 years!
