Glasgow Community Group.

Our weekly group enjoys crafting, making and growing together. The group meets between 10 AM to 12.30 PM at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.

 

Tuesday 02 December

Charged up café.

Our weekly café that runs between 10 AM and 3:00 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.

Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge.  It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services.

Wednesday 03 December

Self defence week six

Week six of an eight week self defence course led by The Scottish Centre for Personal Safety, specifically tailored for vision impaired and blind individuals. Attendees must commit to attending all eight weeks. The session takes place from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at our head office, 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.

 

EyeCan Cook (ages 20 to 25)

Take part in a hands-on cooking session led by Visibility Scotland experienced Vision Rehabilitation Specialists. This fun and inclusive workshop focuses on building practical cooking skills, exploring healthy eating, and enjoying the social side of preparing food together. Participants will have the chance to learn techniques to cook safely and independently, while engaging with others in a supportive environment. The perfect recipe for connection and creativity!

The venue will be at Visibility Scotland headquarters, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow. The session will run from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.

 

Friday 07 November

Chair-based movement session

Chair-based movement and meditation with Kirsteen from New Rhythms for Glasgow.

Wake up for the weekend with positive energy movement and some mindfulness at the end of the session. Please book ahead if you would like to attend any of these sessions.

The sessions run every other Friday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.

Sensory play and Sight and Sound

Come along and explore our brand-new sensory play room—a fun, welcoming space designed for children and families. You’ll also have the chance to get hands-on with some family-friendly tech, with Iain from Sight and Sound on site to offer tailored advice and guidance on technology that can support young people.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on when you’d like the sensory play room to be available, so come ready to share your ideas!
After some playtime and a chat with Iain, you’re warmly invited to join us at our Friday ‘Charged Up’ Café for delicious soup and cake—a perfect way to round off the visit.

Eye T digital skills group

Come along and get a casual face-to-face demonstration with how the accessibility features on your smart phones and tablets work and how they can help you with everyday tasks!

These sessions take place at our Digital Suite at our main office 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Registration for the group is required as spaces are limited.

Visibility Scotland’s main office will be closed from 25 December 2025 until Monday 12 January 2026, with the full activity programme resuming 19 January 2026. Happy holidays everyone!
