Glasgow Community Group.
Our weekly group enjoys crafting, making and growing together. The group meets between 10 AM to 12.30 PM at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.
6 February
Charged up café.
Our weekly drop-in café that runs between 10 AM and 3 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.
Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge. It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services.
The café is funded by Glasgow City Council’s Community Fund.
Talking Tuesdays
A drop-in Zoom session for parent/ caregiver of children with visual impairment. All attendees must have email access to join. The group is limited to 15 participants.
Positive Outlook Course (held on Zoom)
A virtual Positive Outlook course delivered on Zoom. You can meet other new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over three consecutive Tuesdays. The session is run by our Training and Information Specialist. The session runs from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. Attendees can be dialled into to the Zoom meeting via their mobiles phones.
Switched On!
Aarti and Sharon are the Freedom & Joy Coaches . They will lead conversations about the challenges young visually impaired people have with socialising. Each group will provide an opportunity to identify solutions to these challenges in a fun, relaxed setting. These groups will be supportive and offer a unique environment to forge friendships, build confidence and empower the group to share new experiences.
The sessions will take place at Visibility Scotland’s headquarters at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW from 5 PM to 6:30 PM.
8 February
Coaching session
Some of the positive benefits of coaching are that it can help to break down barriers, create healthier boundaries and build confidence. Coaches empower their clients to change their world view and identify and achieve their dreams.
The session will take place at Sight Scotland Veteran’s Centre, 198 Hawkhead Road, Paisley from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Helensburgh Peer Support
Peer support group for those with visual impairment. The group meets at the United Reform Church, 35 West Princes Street, Helensburgh from 10:30AM to 12 PM.
16 February
Chair-based Movement and Mindfulness.
Chair-based movement and meditation with Kirsteen from New Rhythms for Glasgow.
Wake up for the weekend with positive energy movement and some mindfulness at the end of the session. Please book ahead if you would like to attend any of these sessions.
The sessions run on the first and third Friday each month from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.
Messy Play
This session is for children aged five and under. The session will be delivered by our partners at Food Heroes who are two Specialist Dietitians. They will be ready to answer any queries about diet and health for your child.
The session incorporates exploring food through play, to build positive relationships with food for children and families while learning and having fun together.
It runs from 10:30 AM until 11.30 AM at our 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow office.
Digital Skills Group
Come along and get face-to-face assistance with the accessibility features on your smartphone or tablet. The session takes place in our Digital Suite at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW from 1 PM to 3 PM.
