Our weekly café that runs between 10 AM and 3 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.
Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge. It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services.
The café is funded by Glasgow City Council’s Community Fund.

Edinburgh Positive Outlook Course
Week three of our face-to-face session offering advice, emotional support and information for those newly diagnosed with sight loss. The group runs from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Edinburgh Community Rehabilitation and Support Service, 62 Longstone Street, Edinburgh, EH14 2DA.
Please note this session is only open to people who attended the first Edinburgh Positive Outlook on 22 January.
06 February
Positive Outlook Course (In Person)
Week three of our Positive Outlook course delivered in person at our Queen’s Crescent office. You can meet others new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over three consecutive Thursdays. The session is run by one of our Patient Support Workers. The session runs from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Please note this session is only open to people who attended the first In Person Positive Outlook on 23 January.
Working Aged Positive Outlook Course (Virtual)
A Positive Outlook course aimed at people of working age delivered online via Zoom or by telephone depending on preference. You can meet others new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over two consecutive Thursdays. The session is run by one of our Patient Support Workers. Practical sessions (ages 10 to 25)
Visibility Scotland are delivering practical cookery sessions in partnership with Food Heroes. Food Heroes is run by Kay & Jenn, two specialist Dietitians who deliver diet and education sessions in a fun and interactive way.
The sessions are aimed at young people to help gain confidence in the kitchen and learn some healthy recipes along the way. You will learn basic kitchen skills such as recipe reading, measuring, cutting, and grating, as well as oven and hob practice.
The venue will be at Visibility Scotland headquarters, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow. The session will run from 6 PM to 8 PM.

A virtual Positive Outlook course delivered on Zoom. You can meet others new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over three consecutive Tuesdays. The session is run by our Training and Information Specialist. The session runs from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Attendees can be dialed into to the Zoom meeting via their mobile phones.

Chair-based Movement and Meditation.
Chair-based movement and meditation with Kirsteen from New Rhythms for Glasgow.
Wake up for the weekend with positive energy movement and some mindfulness at the end of the session. Please book ahead if you would like to attend any of these sessions.
The sessions run every other Friday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.
15 February
Baby Massage / Yoga
Working with Heather Burns, a trained therapist, we offer baby yoga/massage sessions for children aged zero to five with a vision impairment. Parents learn a range of baby massage, stretching, and yoga moves to help their little ones relax. The session will take place at the main Visibility Scotland office, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW. It will run from 10:45 AM until 11:45 AM. Neuro Yoga
A yoga session focused on those living with a neurological condition or who have survived a stroke. Come along and meet others that share an interest yoga to help with muscle tone, stretching, balance, posture, movement and relaxation, all led by a trained yoga instructor! A member of staff trained in neurological vision rehabilitation will also be there to provide expert advice and support. Aarti and Sharon are the Freedom & Joy Coaches . They will lead conversations about the challenges young visually impaired people have with socialising. Each group will provide an opportunity to identify solutions to these challenges in a fun, relaxed setting. These groups will be supportive and offer a unique environment to forge friendships, build confidence and empower the group to share new experiences.
The sessions will take place at Visibility Scotland’s headquarters at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.

Stroke Advice Webinar
February’s webinar topic is Stroke Advice. During this one hour session we will be covering important information about what happens to vision after stroke. Our in house expert, Ali, will be this month’s special guest and will be available to answer questions. The webinar will run from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Please book a space if you would like to attend.
Walk and Talk, Glasgow Community
Walk and Talk is a session for people to build confidence when navigating outside with a fully qualified rehabilitation officer. The walk will start and end at our main office, 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW. There will be a choice of routes. The session will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This session is for children aged five and under. The session will be delivered by our partners at Food Heroes who are two Specialist Dietitians. They will be ready to answer any queries about diet and health for your child.
The session incorporates exploring food through play, to build positive relationships with food for children and families while learning and having fun together.
It runs from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at New Beatlie School Campus, 33 Grange Road, Livingston, EH54 5BT
