What’s on in Visibility Scotland in January 2026

Glasgow Community Group.

Our weekly group enjoys crafting, making and growing together. The group meets between 10 AM to 12.30 PM at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.

 

Tuesday 20 January

Charged up café.

Our weekly café that runs between 10 AM and 1:00 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.

Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge.  It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services.

Wednesday 21 January

Self defence in Dumfries and Galloway

Join us for a practical and empowering self-defence class in Dumfries, designed specifically for people with vision impairment. The class will be led by the Scottish Centre for Personal Safety and will be supported by a staff member from Visibility Scotland. All techniques will be adapted to suit individual abilities, ensuring a safe, inclusive and confidence-building experience for everyone. The class runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will include a half an hour lunch break.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch to enjoy during the break. A small donation is encouraged in order to support the event. To register and get venue information please contact Visibility Scotland.
