Face-to-face session offering advice, emotional support and information for those newly diagnosed with sight loss. The group runs from 10 AM to 12 PM. at our office at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, 45 Chalmers Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9HA.

Our weekly drop-in café that runs between 10 AM and 3 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW.
Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge. It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services.
The café is funded by Glasgow City Council’s Community Fund.

Do you ever wish you could just be present and enjoy the moment? How would it be to let go of ruminating about the past, worrying about the future or overthinking what’s happening now?
Mindfulness meditation has been shown to help people get freedom from their busy minds. Research has shown that Mindfulness practice can improve attention, memory, as well as physical and mental well-being.
This eight-week group course will include guided practice, teaching and group discussion. Come and see if it’s for you! Please register if you wish to come along.
7 June
Messy Play
This session is for children aged five and under. It will be delivered by our partners at Food Heroes who are two Specialist Dietitians. They will be ready to answer any queries about diet and health for your child.
The session incorporates exploring food through play, to build positive relationships with food for children and families while learning and having fun together.
It runs from 10:30 AM until 11.30 AM at our 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow office.
Chair-based Movement and Meditation.
Chair-based movement and meditation with Kirsteen from New Rhythms for Glasgow.
Wake up for the weekend with positive energy movement and some mindfulness at the end of the session. Please book ahead if you would like to attend any of these sessions.
The sessions run every other Friday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.

Positive Outlook Course (held on Zoom)
A virtual Positive Outlook course delivered on Zoom. You can meet others new to sight loss can share experiences and tips with others. The course runs over three consecutive Tuesdays. The session is run by our Training and Information Specialist. The session runs from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. Attendees can be dialled into to the Zoom meeting via their mobiles phones.

Practical sessions (ages 10 to 25)
Visibility Scotland are delivering practical cookery sessions in partnership with Food Heroes. Food Heroes is run by Kay & Jenn, two specialist Dietitians who deliver diet and education sessions in a fun and interactive way.
The sessions are aimed at young people to help gain confidence in the kitchen and learn some healthy recipes along the way. You will learn basic kitchen skills such as recipe reading, measuring, cutting, and grating, as well as oven and hob practice.
The venue will be at Visibility Scotland headquarters, 2 Queens Crescent, Glasgow. The session will run from 6 PM to 8 PM.
21 June

Digital Skills Group: Android only
Come along and get face-to-face assistance with the accessibility features on your smartphone or tablet. Please note that this session is for Android users only. If you are not sure whether you have an Android device, please call our office and they will be able to help you.
The session takes place in our Digital Suite at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW from 1 PM to 3 PM. Registration for the group is required as spaces are limited.

Tech Works VoiceOver Group
A small group with Apple/IOS voiceover users to discuss using the screen reading software. This will take place from 1 PM until 3 PM at the head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW. This session has limited space available. Please call if you are interested.

Longstone iOS/Apple Digital Skills Group
Craig is offering group-based support for people living in Edinburgh City with their existing devices. This alternates month to month between Android and IOS. This event is for people with Apple/iOS devices only. It will run from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Longstone Resource Centre, 62 Longstone Street, Edinburgh, EH14 2DA.
In order to use the Longstone Resource Centre facility, people must live in the Edinburgh City local authority. For people in the Lothians, we can offer a face to face group at QC “Digital Skills Group” or a monthly Switched On! session via Zoom.
