Charged up café.
Our weekly drop-in café that runs between 10 AM and 3 PM every Tuesday at our head office: 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW. Come along and enjoy some free soup with bread and some tasty sweet treats. You can also charge up your electronic devices free of charge. It’s a great way to meet and chat with other visually impaired people and find out more about our services. The café is funded by Glasgow City Council’s Community Fund and is delivered in partnership with Woodlands Community Development Trust.
Welfare Rights Team from Deafblind Scotland.
As part of our Charged Up café, the welfare rights team from Deafblind Scotland will be on hand from 10 AM to 1 PM to offer 45-minute welfare rights appointments. There are four appointments available.

Community talk at the Castle Douglas Friendship Group.
Our community worker will be giving a talk to the group about the services Visibility Scotland in the Dumfries and Galloway region. The talk runs from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Retina UK
RETINA UK Glasgow are meeting at our head office, 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow G4 9BW from 11 AM to 1 PM. They have a speaker from Glasgow Disability Sport and anyone interested in attending doesn’t have to have Retinitis Pigmentosa. All sports enthusiasts are welcome.

Caroline Jaquet from Audio Description Association (Scotland) will take part in a webinar hosted by us. The webinar runs from 11 AM to 11.45 AM. Participants can join by Zoom or telephone. Come along and get face-to-face assistance with your existing devices at our new ‘Digital Drop In’ service on the first and third Friday of each month from 1 to 3 PM. These small, group classes are geared towards people who may need additional support in order to join one of our virtual ‘Switched On’ workshops. New Galloway Tech Roadshow.
Come along for a demonstration of accessible technology for visually impaired people by our friendly team in Dumfries and Galloway. The roadshow takes place in New Galloway Town Hall, High Street, New Galloway from 10 AM to 12 PM.
Castle Douglas Tech Roadshow.
Come along for a demonstration of assistive technology, including digital magnifiers, apps and aids and equipment. Our team can also make your own smart device more accessible if you bring it along on the day. The roadshow takes place in Castle Douglas Community Centre, Cotton Street, Castle Douglas from 1.30 PM to 3.30 PM.

Mindfulness Based Living Course.
Do you find yourself feeling stressed or anxious? Mindfulness is a way of life that can improve mental and physical wellbeing. Research shows that it can help improve emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, improve performance, reduce memory loss, and increase resilience. This group course, led by a fully registered mindfulness teacher, will run every Thursday until 14th December, from 1.30 PM to 3.30 PM.
