Visibility Scotland, as part of Vision Collaborative Scotland (VCS), is delighted to share an exciting development for Scotland’s vision impairment sector.
In partnership with the University of Strathclyde, VCS has developed two new part-time blended learning courses designed to strengthen professional training and career pathways in vision impairment rehabilitation:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Vision Rehabilitation (Two Years, Part-Time)
This programme provides the qualification and experience required to become a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Vision Rehabilitation (One Year, Part-Time)
This new course offers an exciting opportunity to train as a Vision Rehabilitation Assistant.
Both courses will commence in January 2026 and combine academic learning with practical experience to prepare students for professional roles supporting people with vision impairments and blindness.
Sight Scotland has been awarded grant funding to further strengthen the Vision Impairment sector. Thanks to the generous support of the RS Macdonald Charitable Trust, several student sponsorships are available to employers within the Vision Collaborative Scotland network.
