Training

Developed by sector experts in consultation with the lived experience community, our training empowers you to effectively support people with sensory loss.

Accessibility training

We offer a wide range of evidence-based training programmes to equip your team with the skills and knowledge to support people with sensory loss with confidence.

Why is accessibility training important?

In Scotland, over 180,000 people have some form of vision impairment. When you expand to include people with all forms of sensory loss, the number catapults to over a millionIn the wider UK, the number of people with vision impairments is estimated to be over one million, and the total number of those with some form of sensory loss is over ten million.

Whatever sector your organisation is in, whether it’s a charity, educational institution, hospital, business, or something else, it’s very likely you’ll come across someone with sensory loss. Our training equips your team to effectively provide support and empower people with a range of accessibility needs.

Food for thought

The purchasing power of disabled people in the UK was estimated to be worth £274 billion in 2021, and it’s only grown since then.

A large-scale piece of research conducted by Accenture in 2023 found that companies that prioritise inclusion:

  • Have 1.6 times more revenue
  • See 2.6 times more net income
  • Achieve 2.0 times more economic profit
