Administrator

Are you an experienced Administrator who is a confident self-starter? Would you like to work for an innovative, passionate and friendly charity? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Us

Working at a local and national level, Visibility Scotland aims to affect positive change and improve outcomes for visually impaired people of all ages. We want to empower and encourage children and adults to focus on what they can do, not what they cannot.

The role

Visibility Scotland is recruiting a full-time (35 hours per week) Administrator to work in its head office at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.

We want someone who takes ownership of the role and their own development; someone who enjoys making links and building their knowledge by asking the right questions at the right time. You will be responsible for establishing productive working relationships with the wider Visibility Scotland team.

The Administrator role is essential to the smooth running of our busy office. You will be involved in the planning and preparation for groups, courses and events at our office. An experienced multi-tasker, you will be comfortable working on different activities and will effectively prioritise your daily workload.

The role requires good IT skills, especially with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and Excel. Experience with CRM or database applications is also an essential quality. Updating service user records on the CRM, generating data extracts, and performing mail merges are regular duties of the role.

As the first point of contact for the organisation, we need someone who takes pride in offering a warm, positive first impression of our services. A confident, ‘can do’ manner is essential. The Administrator will answer phone calls, monitor and respond to enquiries to various mailboxes, and greet service users and visitors to our premises.

There is also a role in assisting the head of Finance with H&S and building-related duties. This could include flagging building issues to the Senior Management Team (SMT), arranging for tradespeople to carry out repairs or improvements, advising external organisations of the evacuation procedure, etc.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated and ambitious organisation. We are a small, friendly team and we are looking for people with a positive attitude and team spirit.

Please complete the attached application form and equality monitoring form.  CVs will not be accepted.  The closing date is Friday, 15th December at noon.
