Through our social enterprise, Visibility Trading and Training, we also provide a range of training and consultation services.
The Role
Thomas Pocklington’s Get Set Progress is a pioneering nine-month programme providing paid internships exclusively for blind and partially sighted individuals. The Get Set Progress Programme provides professional and personal development, assistive technology support, dedicated mentoring and specialist employment support.
Interns will travel to London for meetings and training during the nine-month contract, with support.
The Digital Skills and Employment Advisor will be based at Visibility Scotland’s headquarters. The post-holder will undertake accredited digital skills training as part of the nine-month internship.
The Digital Skills and Employment Advisor will support blind and vision-impaired people in developing digital confidence, improving employability skills, and accessing opportunities for education, training, and employment.
The post holder will draw on their lived experience and knowledge of assistive technology to empower others to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Assistive technology includes screen readers, braille devices, and accessible software.

The role is part-time (28 hours per week) and offered on a nine-month, fixed-term basis (October 2026 to June 2027).
