Training and Development Worker

Visibility Scotland is recruiting a Training Development Worker to cover maternity leave until 30 September 2024. The role involves two main strands:

  1. The Right to Dream (R2D) project
  2. Delivery of Visibility Scotland’s paid training courses to external organisations.

The R2D project is a collaborative project between Deafblind Scotland and Visibility Scotland. R2D advances equality and human rights for people with sensory impairment. This will involve e-learning/training, briefings and national/local peer-led workshops. In addition, you will provide sensory literate rights-based training/support to public services.

The Training Development Worker will also be responsible for delivering Inclusive Communications training to external organisations.

We are looking for a confident, experienced trainer who is skilled at delivering training both in-person and virtually. The Training Development Worker will be responsible for keeping up to date on relevant policy and legislation and will incorporate new knowledge and developments in training as and when required.

Partnership working is a key element of the role, and the successful candidate should be skilled at working across organisations and relationship building. Previous experience in managing volunteers would be beneficial to the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated and ambitious organisation. The post holder must have team spirit and be committed to creating a more accessible and equal Scotland.

To apply, please complete the attached application form and equality monitoring form.  CVs will not be accepted.  The closing date is Monday 15 May at 10 am.

The application form and equal opportunities form can be emailed to paul.hanlon@nullvisibilityscotland.org.uk or posted to us at 2 Queen’s Crescent, Glasgow, G4 9BW.

Interview dates are scheduled for Monday 22 May 2023.
