Stroke and brain injury support

This project is available to citizens living in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. It is specifically designed for people experiencing vision changes post-stroke or with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Our holistic vision rehabilitation programme offers:

 

  • Advice and information on neurological vision change post stroke or ABI
  • Information on local and national support for vision, stroke and brain injury
  • Emotional support and adjustment
  • DVLA – driving post stroke and ABI
  • Employment information
  • Technology
  • Compensatory vision strategies delivered through our unique rehabilitation programme
  • Aids and adaptations
  • Peer support self-management groups

 

Our support can be over the telephone, in person, or out in the community. If you have had a stroke or ABI and your sight has been affected, please get in touch with our team. You can contact us by calling 0141 332 4632 or emailing info@visibilityscotland.org.uk
