The overarching aim of the support is to increase independence and enhance quality of life through education, training, and the implementation of aids and adaptations.
The areas of support include, but are not limited to:
Orientation and mobility
Training includes navigation/ wayfinding, navigation apps, and vision scanning, and it can include a cane.
Cooking
Kitchen training, including meal preparation, recipe-specific shopping, cooking and meal storage. A wide selection of kitchen aids can be demonstrated or implemented.
Assistive Technology
Learn how to use assistive technology, which includes software and devices providing digital access for specific needs, such as screen magnification.
Independent living
Household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, household budgeting, and implementing accessible alternatives for energy.
